Allulose
Allulose is a natural sugar that we can’t metabolize [*], which means it tastes and acts like sugar without spiking our blood sugar. Found in fruit, maple syrup, and other plants, it’s 70% as sweet as sugar.
The name “allulose” sounds like glucose, fructose, lactose, and other sugar names, because it’s in the same family. But unlike these sugars, we can’t process allulose, which means it has zero calories and zero net carbs.
For our powdered sugar substitute, we mill our allulose super finely — it’s the finest texture on the market!
Monk Fruit Extract
Monk fruit, also known as luo han guo, is a small Asian melon that has been used by Buddhist monks and in Chinese medicine for centuries. Monk fruit extract is derived by crushing the fruit, then drying the juice into a concentrated powder that has no calories, carbs, or sugar.
Different brands of monk fruit extract come with different levels of Mogroside V, which affects how sweet they are and whether they have any aftertaste. Our monk fruit extract is the highest grade, with 50% Mogroside V and NO aftertaste.
We Don’t Cut Corners With Our Ingredients
You’ll never find artificial preservatives, artificial sweeteners (like sucralose or aspartame), sugar alcohols (like erythritol or sorbitol), or artificial flavors or colors (like caramel color) in our products.
To keep it natural and zero carb, we don’t blend our powdered sugar substitute with any cornstarch (or any other starch), arrowroot powder, or artificial agents that would prevent clumping. Great taste
Another great Besti product that uses Allulose. Great for baking.
This powdered sugar was the perfect substitute for regular powdered sugar. There was no distinction in taste and the recipe for my Lemon bars were fantastic! Can’t wait to try it with my cream cheese frosting as well. It worked great also sifted on top. I have been trying to remake my favorite desserts with a low or zero glycemic index and this did the trick. I am a big fan of the recipes on the website and the other ingredients as well. I can’t recommend enough! My husband had it as well and admitted that he felt much better after eating dessert with this powdered sugar then regular and wasn’t as heavy feeling. A real win all around- no just need to see if the kids notice at Easter!

I ordered your Besti Powdered Monk Fruit Sweetener with Allulose Sugar Relacement for a keto cake and frosting recipe for an NA birthday celebration. I usually use Erythritol based sweeteners, but I’m just not a huge fan of the aftertaste, and I was going to be making this for people who don’t usually eat sugar-free sweets. I didn’t expect this Besti Sweetener to be so good!! I really does taste like sugar! The cake and frosting were quite a hit. I also use the Besti sweetener to make whipped tallow/butter bites, a couple of large teaspoons in the mix and it tastes just like little frosting clouds. I will definitely order Besti again. Thank you!
