What Is Besti?
Besti is Wholesome Yum’s line of natural, sugar-free sweeteners – they are Nature’s Sugar Replacement. What Is Monk Fruit Extract?
Monk fruit, also known as luo han guo, is a small Asian melon that has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries. Monk fruit extract is derived by crushing the fruit, then drying the juice into a concentrated powder that has no calories, carbs or sugar.
Monk fruit extract is extremely sweet, which comes from an antioxidant in the fruit called Mogroside V. It’s very concentrated (between 150 and 400 times as sweet as sugar!), so we combine it with allulose to make a 1:1 sugar replacement.
Different brands of monk fruit extract come with different levels of Mogroside V, which affects how sweet they are and whether they have any aftertaste. Our monk fruit extract is the highest grade, with 50% Mogroside V and NO aftertaste.
What Is Allulose?
Allulose is a natural sugar that we can’t metabolize [*], which means it tastes and acts like sugar without spiking our blood sugar. Found in fruit, maple syrup and other plants, it’s 70% as sweet as sugar.
The name “allulose” sounds like glucose, fructose, lactose, and other sugar names, because it’s in the same family. But unlike these sugars, we can’t process allulose, which means it has zero calories and zero net carbs.

Besti Monkfruit Sweetener with Allulose is hands down the best sugar replacement out there. It measures cup for cup like sugar and bakes and caramelizes just like sugar. In fact, I think it even one ups sugar in that it keeps ice cream soft. It doesn't freeze like a brick, when used in homemade ice cream recipes, like most other sweeteners — including sugar. It's the only thing I use now in all my low carb baking. I'm so glad I found it, because I've never been totally happy with other sugar replacements. Everything else has an aftertaste to me, including erythritol, with it's cooling effect. But this tastes to me just like sugar. Love it!
Since starting my keto journey, I’ve had digestive issues with some artificial sweeteners. This sweetener doesn’t upset my stomach, and has no after taste. I’m a cheesecake addict, and have several recipes that call for powdered sugar. I use this sweetener every time, and love the fact that it measures 1-1, and blends up so smooth. It doesn’t change the taste and no one even notices the difference!

Besti is the best sweetener replacement on the market. I’ve tried them all in my nearly 3 year keto journey. I couldn’t stand the cooling effect or the bitter aftertaste the other replacements caused. I had given up on baking because it was always a let down. Finally a product that tastes normal and doesn't give me digestive issues. I have been trying so many sweeteners and recipes and finally a product that makes the food taste like something normal. I made an angel food cake with this and it tasted wonderful. I am sorry it is so expensive because I would be using a lot more of this if it were more friendly pricing. My husband and I have blood sugar issues so we cannot use regular sugar items. I can't wait to try the other sweeteners I purchased- and I am already going to reorder today.

I absolutely LOVE these new sweetners. Erythritol really hurts my stomach and makes me so bloated and I had a hard time with finding natural sweeteners that would sweeten like sugar.
