Wholesome Yum Allulose came highly recommended by Maria Emmerich and I agree that it is great. I've used this sweetener a few times to make ice cream and each time the ice cream has been easy to scoop, smooth, and delicious. I've also used it to make condensed milk. I have not noticed any cooling effect or aftertaste. I've already purchased a few more bags and I'm looking forward to using this sweetener to try some frosting and sauces. If you're looking for a sweetener that keep things soft, does not crystalize, and is not processed by your body like fructose, this allulose is for you. I look forward to many more delicious desserts!

Sweets for the Sweet!

We are always looking for something sweet to satisfy those craving, especially when you are on a Ketogenic Plan. In my opinion, Besti Powered Allulose for those baked goods and treats works perfectly, easy to use and tastes awesome. Plus, its nice to have the added health benefits of using Allulose as your sweetener. I make and use it in my Cream Cheese Pound Cake (was using Swerve) but found this a superior complement to my recipe. Recently, I tried it when making my own Chocolate Walnut Bark, who doesn't like Chocolate. Only 4 ingredients, easy peasy and it dissolves quickly. Give it a try...you wouldn't be disappointed!

Excellent!I used this sweetene

I used this sweetener to make a drizzle for an almond-flour coffee cake. I need to adjust the cooking temp and time for the coffee cake (I don't have a stoneware baking pan and silicone bread pans made it cook too slow on the inside, and burn on the exterior). And still the drizzle was incredible, worked perfectly, and tasted great!

I use allulose for making ice cream -- best there is. And now I have an excellent 'diabetic sugar' for icing and drizzle! I'm just getting into very-low-carb baking and desserts, and my BG is loving it. Great price, too!

I used this sweetener in ice tea and fresh blueberry muffins and the taste was great - no aftertaste and the mixing was easy. I hope to be baking several items but since I bought all the sweetener's, I'm having a hard time deciding what I want to bake.

Not like sugar at all.

I used the powdered allulose to make frosting and it was grainy and tasted like alcohol, not smooth or sugary tasting. In fact, I threw away all the frosting because it was so gross. I'm super bummed. I was really looking forward to success with this product, especially after reading so many good reviews and having success with other products in this line.

Hi Amy, Sorry to hear you had issues with your frosting! Besti should not make anything taste like alcohol, as it doesn't contain any (not even sugar alcohol!). Is it possible you added too much vanilla extract or another ingredient that may have caused this? It also shouldn't be grainy, that's usually a sign it just needs to be beaten for longer, did you use a hand or stand mixer? It should be smooth but if you're particularly sensitive to texture, next time you can try stirring the powdered allulose into a small amount of melted butter to dissolve before mixing with your frosting ingredients. Hope this helps!

Absolutely Amazing!

I recently tried Wholesome Yum Besti Allulose Powdered Sweetener and I was blown away by how great it tasted. It's the perfect substitute for regular powdered sugar, but without all the added calories and sugar. Great Texture

LOVE this Allulose! The texture is so fluffy and smooth. I bake alot of sugar free sweets and this was delicious! I made cream cheese frosting and yum! And no lumps to try and break up. Love it!

Yummy Healthy Sugar

I was looking for a sweetener that does not raise blood sugar levels. I was using sugar alcohols (erythritol) until I found out they promote the accumulation of belly fat. The whole reason I use sugar replacements is to maintain a healthy weight and blood insulin levels. I like allulose because it has not shown harmful side effects and it tastes great.
