What Others Say About Wholesome Yum Powdered Allulose
Wholesome Yum Allulose came highly recommended by Maria Emmerich, and I agree that it is great. I’ve used this sweetener a few times to make ice cream, and each time, the ice cream has been easy to scoop, smooth, and delicious. I’ve also used it to make condensed milk. I have not noticed any cooling effect or aftertaste. I’ve already purchased a few more bags, and I’m looking forward to using this sweetener to try some frosting and sauces. If you’re looking for a sweetener that keeps things soft, does not crystalize, and is not processed by your body like fructose, this allulose is for you. I look forward to many more delicious desserts!

LOVE this allulose! The texture is so fluffy and smooth. I bake a lot of sugar free sweets, and this was delicious. I made cream cheese frosting, and yum! And no lumps to try and break up.
“I made cream cheese frosting and yum! And no lumps to try and break up!”
This product has been a game changer. It’s so good in baked goods, mixes easily, and is not clumpy. It doesn’t crystallize, and I like it better than Swerve! No aftertaste. You need to try it!
“It mixes easily, is not clumpy and doesn’t crystallize.”
I was blown away by how great it tasted. It’s the perfect substitute for regular powdered sugar but without all the added calories and sugar. It’s made with all-natural ingredients and has zero glycemic impact, making it perfect for those who are watching their sugar intake. I just started a keto diet and have been using some of Wholesome Yum’s recipes along with their ingredients and it has made it soooo much easier for me to “ditch” the carbs. I was honestly kinda struggling to figure it all out before finding the Wholesome Yum website and store….The texture of the Wholesome Yum Allulose Powdered Sweetener is smooth and perfect for baking!
“It’s the perfect substitute for regular powdered sugar, but without all the added calories and sugar.”
Wow, I have not been a big fan of making icing for a long time, as they are just made of pure sugar. This powdered allulose has provided a new, and delicious option to make icing. I have now made both a vanilla and a chocolate version with great success. I am really thankful to have this product, and its handy to have around. I can mix up mini batches in no time too! Just throw in some allulose, a bit of milk, a pinch of salt, and some vanilla makes a wonderfully easy and yummy blend. I can have it before bed and have no “sugar rush” that keeps me awake. I need to start experimenting with some of Wholesome Yum’s other recipes soon.
“A new and delicious option to make icing!”
Missing Your Favorite Sweet Foods?
Wholesome Yum Powdered Allulose Tastes, Bakes, Browns, And Dissolves Like Powdered Sugar!
Whether you are reducing your sugar intake, following a low carb lifestyle, or trying to lose weight, you don’t have to miss sweet foods and desserts anymore!
Powdered allulose tastes exactly like powdered sugar because it is, in fact, a rare type of sugar (minus the carbs and calories)! The only difference is it’s slightly less sweet. In fact, we challenge you to tell the difference between powdered allulose and powdered sugar in your own blind taste test. Even the consistency is exactly the same!
Use Wholesome Yum Powdered Allulose anywhere you need a smooth texture, such as frosting, drinks, sauces, glazes, dressings, sprinkling, and most other uses for a powdered sugar replacement. For baking, use our granulated allulose sweetener instead.
Because confectioners’ allulose is less sweet than confectioners’ sugar, you’ll need to use 1 1/3 cups of powdered allulose to replace 1 cup of powdered sugar. (Use Besti Powdered Monk Fruit Allulose Blend instead if you want a 1:1 replacement!)
Many powdered sugar substitutes have a chemical or bitter aftertaste, but our allulose has no aftertaste whatsoever. Unlike erythritol, it also does not have any cooling sensation.
Also, unlike other alternatives, our powdered allulose sprinkles, browns, caramelizes, and dissolves just like powdered sugar does. No more gritty texture in your frostings and sauces!
I prefer this brand of allulose because it is non-GMO, which is important to me. Wholesome Yum Powdered Allulose is really handy for making things like frosting, where you can’t use granular allulose without getting grainy frosting. I really like using this allulose because it allows me to keep things low sugar but still satisfy my sweet tooth, with no weird aftertaste and no cooling effect. To me, it tastes exactly like regular sugar, just a bit less sweet, so I use a bit more (about 30%) than the amount of regular sugar the recipe calls for.

How Our Powdered Allulose Sweetener Compares
Wondering how our powdered allulose compares to other powdered sugar substitutes and powdered sweeteners? There’s a big difference!
Wholesome Yum Powdered Allulose makes a great powdered sugar free replacement. It has no artificial sugar taste! You can use it for frostings, glazes, to cover snowball cookies, and any place you would use regular powdered sugar. I use it in my low carb cooking and for my diabetic husband.

Simply One Ingredient: Powdered Allulose
To our knowledge, there is currently no manufacturer in the world that makes allulose as fine as real powdered sugar, so we mill it ourselves.
What Is Allulose?
Allulose is a natural rare sugar that we can’t metabolize [*], which means it tastes and acts like sugar without spiking our blood sugar. Naturally occurring in fruit, maple syrup, raisins, and other plants, it’s 70% as sweet as table sugar.
The name “allulose” sounds like glucose, fructose, lactose, sucrose, and other simple sugar names, because it’s in the same family. But unlike these sugars, we can’t process allulose, which means it doesn’t affect insulin levels and has zero calories and zero net carbs.
In fact, the FDA has determined that allulose sugar should not be listed as sugar on nutrition labels, because the body does not treat it as sugar.
We Don’t Cut Corners With Our Ingredients
You’ll never find artificial preservatives, artificial sweeteners (like sucralose or aspartame), sugar alcohols (like erythritol or sorbitol), or artificial flavors or colors (like caramel color) in our products.
Having Digestive Issues With Other Powdered Sweeteners?
Our Powdered Allulose Sugar Is Gentle On Stomachs
Unlike other sweeteners that don’t metabolize in our digestive systems (such as sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners), powdered allulose sweetener won’t cause digestive distress — all while tasting just like powdered sugar.
I love this new sweetener! It does not bother my tummy, and the taste is so close to real sugar. There has been no recrystallization in anything I have used it in yet. It blends so well, and we just love it! So glad to have found Wholesome Yum and Maya!

Wholesome Yum Allulose came highly recommended by Maria Emmerich and I agree that it is great. I've used this sweetener a few times to make ice cream and each time the ice cream has been easy to scoop, smooth, and delicious. I've also used it to make condensed milk. We are always looking for something sweet to satisfy those craving, especially when you are on a Ketogenic Plan. In my opinion, Besti Powered Allulose for those baked goods and treats works perfectly, easy to use and tastes awesome. Plus, its nice to have the added health benefits of using Allulose as your sweetener. I make and use it in my Cream Cheese Pound Cake (was using Swerve) but found this a superior complement to my recipe. Recently, I tried it when making my own Chocolate Walnut Bark, who doesn't like Chocolate. Only 4 ingredients, easy peasy and it dissolves quickly. Give it a try...you wouldn't be disappointed!
I used the powdered allulose to make frosting and it was grainy and tasted like alcohol, not smooth or sugary tasting. In fact, I threw away all the frosting because it was so gross. I'm super bummed. I was really looking forward to success with this product, especially after reading so many good reviews and having success with other products in this line.
Hi Amy, Sorry to hear you had issues with your frosting! Besti should not make anything taste like alcohol, as it doesn't contain any (not even sugar alcohol!). Is it possible you added too much vanilla extract or another ingredient that may have caused this? It also shouldn't be grainy, that's usually a sign it just needs to be beaten for longer, did you use a hand or stand mixer? It should be smooth but if you're particularly sensitive to texture, next time you can try stirring the powdered allulose into a small amount of melted butter to dissolve before mixing with your frosting ingredients. Hope this helps!
I used this sweetener to make a drizzle for an almond-flour coffee cake. I need to adjust the cooking temp and time for the coffee cake (I don't have a stoneware baking pan and silicone bread pans made it cook too slow on the inside, and burn on the exterior). And still the drizzle was incredible, worked perfectly, and tasted great!
I use allulose for making ice cream -- best there is. And now I have an excellent 'diabetic sugar' for icing and drizzle! I'm just getting into very-low-carb baking and desserts, and my BG is loving it. Great price, too!
I used this sweetener in ice tea and fresh blueberry muffins and the taste was great - no aftertaste and the mixing was easy. I hope to be baking several items but since I bought all the sweetener's, I'm having a hard time deciding what I want to bake.
I'm sorry I do photo's - you'll have to take my word for it.
This is a great product!
I like buying and using Maya's "Wholesome Yum" products because I trust her and her company to provide us with healthy ingredients as the label says. I've bought a lot of her products and none disappoint. I used the Allulose powdered sugar in my cream cheese frosting. It was delicious and sweet like I liked it. I have a sweet tooth and eat some kind of dessert every evening. Maya's Allulose sweeteners taste wonderful. My taste buds are very happy!
I would recommend this to anyone including my family and friends. Try it!
I LOVE using allulose in my baking! I use the powdered version because it always mixes in easily, unless the recipe will benefit from the crystalized version. One example, KETO donuts taste best with crystalized allulose.
And allulose doesn't cause gut effects like erythrinol.
The products from Wholesum Yum are of top quality. They do not add all the fillers and preservatives and other things that are harmful. When I purchase from them I know I'm getting real food. It's easy to order and shipping was fast and efficient. Prices are reasonable for what you are getting. I try to not back or make many sweets but when I do, I like to know I'm using a good quality sweetener that is not harmful to my body.
I was doing a low-carb diet for about 4 months and most days I only had one meal a day. Breakfast would usually consist of two eggs and some cheese. To mix things up I wanted to try some waffles and pancakes. My wife likes syrup on both pancakes and waffles but I prefer powdered sugar and butter on waffles. I made regular waffles for my wife and I used a low-carb recipe for mine. The powdered allulose is a great substitute for confectioners sugar. I couldn't tell the difference. I also purchased the keto syrup for pancakes but haven't tried it yet.
Some reviewers mentioned that these products are expensive which is kind of true. However, I feel that Wholesome Yum is invested in healthy foods so they are likely not going to add other undesirable ingredients. Besides, I don't really have a sweet tooth so a pound of Allulose will last me a long time.
