What Others Say About Wholesome Yum Almond Flour
This is the only almond flour I’ve been satisfied with. It’s made from good quality ingredients, and the super fine texture makes a huge difference. It’s the only almond flour I’ll use now.
“The only almond flour I’ll use now!”
I have used many different brands of almond flour, and this is the best by far. All others are not finely ground and give you a grainy texture. I made the blueberry muffins with this, and it was the closest to wheat consistency that I’ve ever tasted.
“The closest to wheat consistency that I’ve ever tasted.”
Almond flour is essential in my current diet, and this has been my go-to product. The texture is very fine and even. I have purchased it several times, and the product is consistent. It bakes and blends well and makes it possible to eat things I thought would be off-limits. So happy with this flour and its wonderful texture and baking properties.
“Wonderful texture and baking properties!”
The quality and fine texture of the almond flour is excellent. Tried other brands and recipes, but got far better results with Wholesome Yum (less grittiness, better taste, and texture).
“Tried other brands and recipes, but got far better results with Wholesome Yum”
It was my first time using any almond flour, but my blueberry muffins using it were the best ever! They were so moist and yummy. They were light and fluffy, I ate two before I knew it; they were so good, and I didn’t miss eating the ones made with all-purpose flour.
“My blueberry muffins came out so moist, light and fluffy!”
Missing The Flavor And Texture Of Your Favorite Baked Goods?
Wholesome Yum Blanched Almond Flour Makes A Nutritious Low Carb Flour Replacement!
Here at Wholesome Yum, Maya (our founder) develops each product, and our standards for taste and texture are extremely high — and not all almond flour brands are the same. The quality has a big impact on how your recipes turn out.
Wholesome Yum Super Fine Blanched almond flour has the finest grind for moist baked goods that have a delicate crumb, a fluffy texture, and no grainy or gritty feel.
A coarse almond flour that hasn’t been ground finely enough – or worse, one with skins – can ruin your desserts or breads. Try ours and see the fine texture for yourself!
Learning how to bake with almond flour is easy, since it’s roughly a 1:1 replacement for regular flour in most recipes. However, sometimes the recipe needs modifications. Almond flour does not have the starch content or gluten that wheat flour has, so it doesn’t create stretchy doughs or chewy texture on its own. There are other ingredients that can be added to almond flour recipes to achieve an end result similar to what you’d get with regular flour.
You can use it as a substitute in almost any dish where you’d use white flour…
- Desserts & sweets – With it’s fine consistency, blanched almond flour is perfect for baking recipes like cakes, muffins, cookies, pancakes (recipe on the back of the package), pie crust, and more. For recipes that need structure, adding a little xanthan gum can help.
- Savory baking – Use it to bake bread, crackers, and more. Try it in Maya’s recipes for soft white keto bread, chewy low carb bread, or crunchy almond flour crackers.
- Breading & frying – Our super fine almond flour makes an excellent breading for chicken or fish. You can bake it or fry it!
For sugar-free desserts, replace the sugar with our best-selling Besti monk fruit sweetener.
The flour can make a difference. My keto pound cake looks and tastes like the real thing. Thank you for an awesome product.

How Our Blanched Almond Flour Compares
Wondering how Wholesome Yum Blanched Almond Flour compares to other brands? There’s a big difference!
There are only two kinds of almond flour I will use, and Wholesome yum is the top pick…I like the texture the most, so the final result is not gritty like some almond flours!
“Not gritty like some almond flours!”
Simply One Ingredient: Premium California Almonds
We blanch the nuts (always from the USA!) in boiling water to remove the skins, then grind and sift them into a super fine powder.
With just one ingredient, how we make our flour is just as important as what goes in it. The best almond flour – like our Wholesome Yum brand – will have super fine ground almonds with a uniform consistency, to get a perfect texture in baking.
And unlike almond meal (unblanched almond flour), which is ground with the skins intact, our flour only uses blanched almonds with skins removed. It’s a small detail that makes a huge difference in baked goods.
We Don’t Cut Corners With Our Ingredients
You’ll never find artificial preservatives, artificial sweeteners (like sucralose or aspartame), sugar alcohols (like erythritol or sorbitol), or artificial flavors or colors (like caramel color) in our products.
This finely milled, blanched almond flour is lovely in all my baked goods. The chocolate chocolate keto muffins I make with this almond flour are like the "real" thing but better. I use it in fruit crumbles, as a "breading" for chicken cutlets when I don't want to use crushed pork rinds, in bread and cookie recipes. It has the right consistency to give my homemade creations the perfect "crumb" for the perfect taste. I generally freeze a couple of bags of this when I order 3 or more at a time. I can use it directly from the freezer, no need to "thaw". I really do wish the bags were larger than just 1 pound. A two pound or larger bag would be more practical for most of us, I believe. A wonderful product nonetheless!
I love this almond flour!! Game changer… I had another brand before and it was like eating sawdust! Gross… This one is the best! I guess the key is blanched and fine.
I had also bought the coconut flour but have not used it just yet. Will continue to use this brand for sure!?
I bought it to make banana bread and when I used this flour it happened that it did not compact the bread after baking it so it was like a really bad mix that it was just kind of cooked and looked like a pudding.
After I used the remaining to make crepes and those were ok but in order for it to stick you need to add way too many eggs so the taste is just horrible because the egg overpowered the taste.
I really don’t recommend this flour for baking
Sorry to hear that your baked goods didn't turn out as expected. Almond flour is not a 1:1 substitute for white flour, so typically you'd need to use recipes developed with almond flour in mind. I have lots of them here that you can try: https://www.wholesomeyum.com/tag/almond-flour/ Hope this helps!
Warmly, -Maya from Wholesome Yum
P.S. I noticed you gave the product a 5-star rating despite the issues. Maybe this was a mistake? I published it as is, but feel free to adjust. I do hope the almond flour recipes will help you, though.
There are only two kinds of almond flour I will use and Wholesome yum is the top pick...I like the texture the most so final result is not gritty like with some almond flours!
I have used many different brands of almond flour, and this is the best by far. All others are not finely ground and give you a grainy texture. I made cornbread and homemade bread with this and both were sweet and amazing with the closest texture to the real thing I have ever tasted!
Wholesome Yum almond flour is milled super-fine, is made with premium California almonds and works beautifully in all my keto and low carb baking recipes.
I find that these work best when making wholesome yum recipes.. other flours do not give the same consistency
I’ve tried many almond flour and waste my money. This is the only one that I’ll use.
Made cheese cake recently was very surprised how wonderful it was. Made blackberry cobbler this week, could have eaten the dough before cooking. The fine texture is a game changer. I would grind the other brands but still’s yuck.
I’ve tried other brands and couldn’t stand the taste. This is the best! I cook for my family 4 days of the week because they work and I’m retired. My daughter and son in law are picky about texture of food so they definitely didn’t like the other brands. The first time I used Wholesome Yum I had no complaints.😊
I use her recipes everyday and keep trying neww ones. Family says they want to lose weight,
this is my contribution. We’re not good at keeping serving size where they need to be because
everything is too delicious.
I have used this almond flour in baking and as a breading for vegetables, and I really don't miss the flour. The fried zucchini was a big hit at dinner last night! I also feel good about the quality and simplicity of this almond flour - ground finely, one ingredient.
