Wholesome Yum Allulose Sweetener

Wholesome Yum Allulose sweetener is a natural sugar without the sugar spike. Allulose sugar tastes, bakes, browns, and dissolves just like sugar does, and produces very soft baked goods… all with zero calories, zero net carbs, and zero glycemic index.

Use granulated allulose in place of granulated sugar for cooking, baking and topping! Because allulose is 70% as sweet as sugar, you’ll need 1 1/3 cups allulose to replace each cup of sugar.

What Others Say About Wholesome Yum Allulose Sugar

I’ve tried many other sweeteners, but allulose is the absolute best for making scoopable ice cream. It works with every flavor — I’ve made chocolate, strawberry, mocha (leftover morning coffee, cooled and added to mix), and mixed berry, and every time I’ve used allulose as the sweetener, it’s been a success. The really great thing is that I’m a longtime diabetic, and this sweetener had made my blood glucose readings very happy! I’m a fan, for sure.

This tastes so good in my baked items. It tastes good in coffee, and the best thing is that there is no horrible aftertaste.

The first thing I made with Wholesome Yum Allulose was some chocolate ice cream, and it turned out so much better and easier to scoop than using erythritol. The second thing I made was the recipe on the bag, an almond flour chocolate chip cookie recipe. This is the first time I’ve been able to make a nice chewy cookie that is low carb and not made with peanut butter as the main ingredient! Allulose seems to be a game changer so far, and I look forward to doing some more baking with it in the near future!

When we found that monk fruit sweetener spiked my husband’s blood sugar, I decided to try the allulose. I am so glad I did. It doesn’t spike him and tastes so good in all my baked goods. It blends so well – no crystals.

Baking is a must in my house and this product truly feels so much more like real sugar than any other sweetener I have ever found in stores.

Missing Your Favorite Sweet Foods?

Wholesome Yum Allulose Tastes, Bakes, Browns, And Dissolves Like Sugar!

Whether you are reducing your sugar intake, following a low carb lifestyle, or trying to lose weight, you don’t have to miss sweet foods and desserts anymore!

Use Wholesome Yum Allulose sweetener to replace granulated sugar in your favorite sweet recipes, including cookies, cakes, muffins, and more! It produces soft, moist baked goods. The texture is a little finer than granulated sugar, but it still works the same way.

For super smooth texture, such as frostings, sauces, dressings, and cheesecakes, use our powdered allulose sweetener instead.

Because allulose is less sweet than sugar, you’ll need to use 1 1/3 cups of allulose to replace 1 cup of sugar. (Use Besti Monk Fruit Allulose Blend instead if you want a 1:1 replacement!)

Many sugar substitutes have a chemical or bitter aftertaste, but our allulose natural sweetener has no aftertaste whatsoever. Unlike erythritol, it also does not have any cooling sensation.

Also, unlike other alternatives, Wholesome Yum Allulose browns, caramelizes, and dissolves just like sugar does. No more gritty texture in your baking!

I’m so happy to have a sugar replacement that actually tastes great, bakes great, and my non-keto husband has not complained of any aftertaste (I’ll tell him it’s not sugar later) ?

I truly cannot believe how amazing the Wholesome Yum Allulose sweetener is! I have used it in multiple recipes now, and it dissolves like regular sugar in making a no bake chocolate cookie. The thing I love best though is there is no fake taste and zero aftertaste! It’s all I use now.

What’s Inside?

Simply One Ingredient: Granulated Allulose

What Is Allulose?

Allulose is a natural rare sugar that we can’t metabolize [*], which means it tastes and acts like sugar without spiking our blood sugar. Naturally occurring in fruit, maple syrup, raisins, and other plants, it’s 70% as sweet as table sugar.

The name “allulose” sounds like glucose, fructose, lactose, sucrose, and other simple sugar names, because it’s in the same family. But unlike these sugars, we can’t process allulose, which means it doesn’t affect insulin levels and has zero calories and zero net carbs.

In fact, the FDA has determined that allulose sugar should not be listed as sugar on nutrition labels, because the body does not treat it as sugar.

We Don’t Cut Corners With Our Ingredients

You’ll never find artificial preservatives, artificial sweeteners (like sucralose or aspartame), sugar alcohols (like erythritol or sorbitol), or artificial flavors or colors (like caramel color) in our products.

Having Digestive Issues With Other Sweeteners?

Our Allulose Sugar Is Gentle On Stomachs

Unlike other sweeteners that don’t metabolize in our digestive systems (such as sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners), allulose sweetener won’t cause digestive distress — all while tasting just like sugar.

I cannot say enough about this sweetener. First, this is pure allulose with nothing added. It is a nice fine grain that dissolves easily. Best of all, it tastes great and does not effect my stomach like erythritol does. It tastes like regular sugar, but you do have to add a little more because it’s not as sweet. There is no cooling effect with this sweetener, which I really appreciate as it doesn’t change the flavor of my tea, or baked goods. It is my go-to sweetener for everything. I even use it in my pickles. I have not found anything better than Wholesome Yum Allulose.

BESTi for ice cream!

I have been making ice cream now for several months -- received an ice cream maker as a gift. I've tried many other sweeteners, but allulose is the absolute best for making scoopable ice cream. It works with every flavor -- I've made chocolate, strawberry, mocha (leftover morning coffee, cooled and added to mix), and mixed-berry, and every time I've used allulose as the sweetener, it's been a success.

I'm really happy with the variety of allulose products carried here, and the prices, too -- they are excellent. I look forward to trying other options, for ice cream and baking and more. The really great thing is that I'm a longtime diabetic, and this sweetener had made my BGs very happy! I'm a fan, for sure.

Tastes Like Sugar/No Aftertaste!

Recently I did a 21 day detox and couldn’t have any sugar. In my search for sugar alternatives, I stumbled across this page and after reading some of the reviews, I decided to give it a try.

So here’s my review on this sweetener.

No sugar replacement/sweetener has ever tasted like natural sugar. Either they were way too sweet, not sweet enough, and all of them, and I mean ALL OF THEM left an awful aftertaste, yuck! Who wants that? I like my coffee with a little cream and two teaspoons of sugar. Those tsps add up, which only added a lot of sugar to my daily diet. I have cut out a lot of sugar since doing the detox. But, during the actual detox, you could not have any added sugars, so I didn’t drink coffee for 21 days.

The detox ended almost 2 weeks ago and I have been using this in my coffee daily. I even took it on a road trip so I didn’t need to use regular sugar while I was away from home. I have to use more than two tsps to get the desired sweetness that I am used to, but I’m okay w/that. I am the most pickiest person when it comes to my coffee. It is the ONLY sweetener I have ever tried that tastes like actual sugar. Again, I need to use a little more than I did w/regular sugar, but I don’t care, it’s way better than using actual sugar. And also better than any of the weird chemicals used in other artificial sweeteners.

Price point is a little on the high end, but so are other artificial sweeteners. I am only using this particular sweeter to add in my coffee. So it isn’t really all that bad in the long run for my needs.

I realize not everyone has the same experiences w/products. And not everyone has the same taste buds. But I know how ridiculously picky I am when it comes to my coffee and needing it to taste a certain way. I found my sweetener!!! It’s definitely worth trying!

Peace of mind

When we found that monk fruit sweetener spiked my husband’s blood sugar, I decided to try the Allulose. I am so glad I did. It doesn’t spike him and tastes so good in all my baked goods. It blends so well, no crystals.

Hi Sharon, We're so glad you like our allulose! We also wanted to let you know, if you used another brand of monk fruit, it's almost always the filler in them (typically erythritol) that can cause spikes for some people. If you like monk fruit (and clearly you like allulose), you can also try our monk fruit with allulose here: https://www.wholesomeyumfoods.com/shop/sweeteners/monk-fruit/monk-fruit-allulose-blend/

Fabulous!

I purchased this Allulose hesitantly. I wasn’t sure if it would be good or raise my blood sugar or work well in my recipes. I took a leap of faith and am SO glad I did. It had absolutely no effect on my blood sugar when I tested after consuming. The taste is definitely better than artificial sweeteners. I will buy again!! I am now testing is out in all my recipes hoping to convert from other low carb / Keto sweeteners.

Finally No After Taste

This allulose has no after taste! I am 63 years old and have never used non-sugar sweeteners due to after taste.
Never drank sodas or teas sweetened by them. People would try to trick me but there was always that nasty little after taste. I had a cup of coffee sweetened with allulose and could not believe it! NO AFTER TASTE!. used it to make low carb pumpkin bars....... NO AFTER Taste! Best thing to hit the market in years! It is a real plus that it is plant based! I can not wait to try other recipes. The holidays are coming up and will watch to see how my guests react.

Noticeable improvement in taste over my previous go-to allulose brand

For 2-3 years, I’ve bought a different allulose brand because I could get a larger quantity (4-lb bag) for a cheaper price. However, I have not been particularly thrilled with the taste, especially in my baked goods (what do they say about insanity? Doing the same thing over & over and expecting different results? That was me!).
Just a month or so ago, I decided to try the Wholesome Yum brand to see if there really is a difference in taste between brands. I’m glad to report there IS a difference and Wholesome Yum allulose comes out on top! Because of this improvement in taste, WY will be my new go-to for the sugary type sweetness I’ve missed since moving away from sugar.

Honey And Allulose

I have been a member of Wholesome Yum since 2000. I don't know why but when I noticed the supermarkets couldn't keep the Allulose on the shelf and it was hard to find I just found out Wholesome Yum was selling it. Thank God because Allulose is the best replacement sugar out there and I was always looking for a honey replacement Great!
